All my preparation has led up to this. Summer is officially here and it’s time to make that cash money. I’m going to start with a $8,000 bankroll, and play $200NL 6 max cash for 30 days and at the end of the 30 days, cash out 50% of my profit. I will work at least 40 hours a week while playing at least 1 hour a day. If my roll drops down to $4,000 then I’m moving down to $100NL. Now while I’m going to do everything I can to make sure I follow each and every one of these rules, I do realize that I may not be able to. For example, when I move into my own place, the internet may not be set up yet therefore it’s impossible to play that day. More on reasoning behind these rules and the new place in a later blog. I just wanted to give the heads up so I don’t get 100 IM’s a day asking when I’m going to start playing again.
Do Work

2008
As I sat in my chair out on our football field about to graduate, I began to reflect on my four years at Southington High School. I began to think about Freshman year and how nervous I was walking into a new environment. I vividly remember walking down my street to my new bus stop anxiously waiting for the bus and when I stepped on looking for someone I knew. But there was no one. As the bus approached the school, I was so nervous that my hands were shaking. I had gone to Freshman orientation and found where all my classes were but as soon as that first period bell rang, I was lost. I had to ask a teacher for directions to all of my classes. I was a small kid in a big school. I had heard so many stories of how the seniors were going to stuff us in lockers and give us book jobs but as I finished Freshman year, I had not experienced or seen any such thing ever occur. Fast forward to Sophomore year, and I enter the school with new friends, on a new bus, and with more confidence. All the friends that I made on that bus have been my friends throughout High School. Sophomore year was kind of a middle year. You didn’t consider yourself in a group with the Freshman but you weren’t a pat of the upper half of the school. Onto Junior year, easily the most important year of High School. Now the thought of making sure you get good grades for college enters your thoughts. The interesting part about that, is Junior year was the worst year academically of my 12 years of schooling. My grades were awful but my financial interest in poker became heightened as I began to play much more online and at poker tournaments with friends. I made a lot of friends playing in those poker tournaments and they were so much fun. In fact, that summer we had the first annual SSOP (Southington Series of Poker) and I did very well winning two bracelets and the Main Event. Finally, Senior year rolls around. First day of school, the nerves are getting to me like I’m a Freshman again until I get to the school and see that the Seniors covered every single tree with toilet paper. That’s our class for ya. I thought damn I’m the shit. Back the fuck up Freshman, Senior coming through. Senior year was an extremely busy year. I had to decide my future which was very hard. But it was filled with so many good times and so many events. It was by far the best year of High School. It’s also very sad as I know that last night was the last time I will see most of these people ever again. I feel close to all my classmates as I grew up with them, laughed with them, and had a good time with them. High School will always be a part of me and I won’t ever forget it.
To The Class of 2008
